Memorial Dedication Approaches

Four days of special events and celebrations May 27-30 will mark the dedication of the long-awaited World War II Memorial on the National Mall in Washington, DC.

In addition to the official dedication ceremony on May 29, official events also include a National World War II Reunion adjacent to the Smithsonian’s Air and Space Museum and the National Gallery of Art, a Salute to World War II Veterans at the MCI Center (two blocks from BVA National Headquarters), and a Memorial Service at the Washington National Cathedral.

The celebration is being planned by the American Battle Monuments Commission (AMBC).
