RRTC Announces Training
"Technology Training for Technology Trainers" is the
theme for the annual conference of The Rehabilitation Research
and Training Center on Blindness and Low Vision April 7-9.
The site of the conference, co-sponsored by The National Federation
of the Blind (NFB), is NFBs new National Research and Training
Institute in Baltimore, Maryland. The registration fee is $130.

Memorial Dedication Approaches
Four days of special events and celebrations May 27-30 will mark
the dedication of the long-awaited World War II Memorial on the
National Mall in Washington, DC.
In addition to the official dedication ceremony on May 29, official
events also include a National World War II Reunion adjacent to
the Smithsonians Air and Space Museum and the National Gallery
of Art, a Salute to World War II Veterans at the MCI Center (two
blocks from BVA National Headquarters), and a Memorial Service
at the Washington National Cathedral.
The celebration is being planned by the American Battle Monuments
Commission (AMBC).

New VIST Coordinator Extends Outreach
Roger Gully, appointed as a new VIST Coordinator in the New Jersey
Health Care System in March of 2003, is seeking assistance from
BVA in his efforts to reach out to all blinded veterans. He is
focusing his search on what he considers "the untapped area
of South Jersey."
