Final Thought

A group of blinded veterans had a real "ball" together on the evening of January 20!

Left to right, Neil Appleby, Past National President Ellsworth "Skip" Sharpe, and National Field Service Director Stephen Matthews accompanied significant others and additional BVA faithful to the "Salute to Heroes" Inaugural Ball at DC’s Capital Hilton Hotel.

In addition to the premium food, drink, and dancing, the three were greeted by President George W. Bush and Laura Bush just as the evening got underway. Vice President Dick Cheney and Lynne Cheney stopped in later to thank those attending for their service to the nation.
