The Florida BVA Auxiliary has been very busy raising funds for
scholarships to Florida residents. We have held 50/50 raffles
at every meeting, with one winner taking the entire jackpot. Since
the winner receives about $100 at each meeting, the tickets sell
quite well. This is one way in which we have been able to raise
enough funds for four scholarships each year.
If other regional group auxiliaries have special projects to
report to the general membership, please send them to me, Joyce
Thornton, 5883 Wyldewood Lakes Court, Ft. Myers, FL 33919. Your
news is important. Let me hear from you so that your hard work
receives the deserved recognition.
We are especially pleased to report that 16 individuals have
become part of BVAA since the 58th National Convention. The new

Arizona; and Genevieve Wooldridge of Jacksonville, Florida.
Please pay your dues so that we can get your name placed in the
new 2004-05 membership directory. We also wish to remind all Auxiliary
members that BVAA desktop flags are still on sale for $10.00.
