Final Thought

Blinded veteran advocate and legendary friend Kathern H. Gruber was once considered the Sweetheart of BVA. At the convention’s closing business session, Tom Miller made a motion that this distinction must, at least for now, belong to Dawna Johnson.

Pictured here with her brandy basket, a winning from the BVA Auxiliary raffle, Dawna is a troubleshooter extraordinaire at BVA conventions. She is a constant in lifting others with her smile and helping hands. To the delight of many, Dawna aspires to a career in blind rehabilitation. BVA says thanks to its official sweetheart!
