About the Adam’s Mark
Centrally situated in historic downtown Buffalo, the Buffalo-Niagara Adam’s Mark Hotel provides easy walking access to the waterfront. The distance to Main Street, which consists of many shops, a light rail, and historic architecture, is also short.
Each hotel guest room features high-speed Internet access, daily newspaper delivery, and all standard amenities such as coffee makers, irons and ironing boards, in-room movies, and voice mail. Two restaurants offer contrasting cuisines: Deco Restaurant specializes in regional cuisine in a casual atmosphere while Players Lounge and Sports Bar offers light fare and big screen sports. There are also numerous restaurants outside the hotel, again with quick access on foot.
Convention room rates are $80 for both single and double occupancy. The cost is $89 for triple and quad. The room tax is 13.75 percent, which brings the single room rate total to an even $91 per night.
Reservations are secured by calling toll free reservations, 800-444-ADAM (2326), or through the hotel website, http://www.adamsmark.com/buffalo/index.asp, or by mailing the hotel reservation form to Adam’s Mark Hotel, Attn: Reservations, 120 Church Street, Buffalo, NY 14202. Special Events
BVA National Headquarters and the New York Regional Group are presently working on a day trip to Niagara Falls for Thursday, August 17, from approximately 9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
Although plans are still being finalized, the outing is expected to cost approximately $20 for transportation to and from Niagara Falls. There will be two options associated with the outing: 1) A day at Seneca Niagara Casino, or 2) A tour of Niagara Falls State Park, to include an optional one-hour “Maid of the Mist” cruise (costing an additional $11.50) that takes passengers to the base of the falls (raincoats provided). Convention attendees choosing the second option may also enjoy a guided tour of Goat Island. The second option will also include a shorter stay at Seneca Niagara Casino on the return trip to Buffalo. Please note that the casino will not admit individuals under age 21, but shopping opportunities are also available for non-gamblers and the younger set.
Also planned is an optional Friday evening barbecue at the Naval and Military Park. The cost will be $10.00. Please check the What’s New at BVA page on the BVA website for additional information about the barbecue. |
