Ground Transportation and Accommodations

The Miami International Airport is 12 miles, or approximately 20 minutes, from the Wyndham Miami Beach Resort. Super Shuttle is available at the airport for $12. Taxis can take up to five persons with luggage for $28 one-way. Look for Super Shuttle and taxis directly outside the baggage area. The Fort Lauderdale Airport is 22 miles from the hotel and will cost $22 per individual via Super Shuttle. The average cost for a one-way taxi ride is $55.

Attendees driving to the convention will encounter a parking charge of $19 per day. The cost includes in and out privileges.

The Wyndham Miami Beach Resort is adjacent to both the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracostal Waterway. Each guestroom has an ocean or waterfront view. Guests have access to golf, tennis, a beachfront fitness center, a health spa, and an outside pool with poolside cabanas. Food options include the Hibiscus Court Restaurant, Poquitos Market To Go, Seabreeze Ocean Poolside Bar and Grill, and the Bistro Bar and Restaurant.

Hotel reservations can be made by calling 877-999-3223 or 305-532-3600. Registration can also be completed by registering on the Wyndham website, www.wyndham.com. Convention attendees must guarantee their reservations with a credit card (all major cards are accepted) or follow them up by mailing a check for one day’s stay plus the 13 percent tax, payable to Wyndham Miami Beach Resort. When using a credit card, please be advised that the first night's stay with tax is automatically placed on the credit card, even if the reservation is made in advance. Please be sure also to associate yourself with the Blinded Veterans Association and Code 811647BV when making the reservation.

All reservations must be received at the hotel by July 19 to receive the $75 single/double rate. Additional person(s) up to four will be charged $10 per day. The occupancy tax is 13 percent, bringing the sin-gle/double room rate total to $84.75.
