BVA Provides Needed Help

As a new member of BVA, having recently lost much of my sight as a result of Agent Orange, I am trying to educate myself on veterans issues. I never thought this would happen to me at this point in my life. Nevertheless, it has happened, and I must learn to prevail and move on. With the help of the service officer from BVA in San Diego, Bill Montgomery, I received an 80 percent rating in only 75 days from the date of my claim. Bill has become a vital representative in helping me use VA Blind Rehabilitation Services. As a result, I have dealt better with my low vision and workplace issues. Bill is a great guy and a valuable asset to your organization. In addition, Richard Hardy, VIST Coordinator with the San Diego Healthcare System, has gone out of his way to help me get the aids I need to move on in my life.

Vets Need Scriptalk

It’s time we, as an organization, made sure that blinded and other disabled veterans need the Scriptalk audible prescription readers have these prosthetics available for daily use.

Do your part. Ask your clinics, Blind Rehabilitation Centers, Service Networks, VIST Coordinators, Outpatient Specialists, and literally anyone who will listen, to insure that the devices are distributed through the system for use.
