Blinded veterans across the country took the time November 11 to honor their comrades, past and present, as ceremonies occurred at many of the nation’s 120 national cemeteries and 157 VA hospitals.

In a time of war, it was, ironically, a day to calmly reflect on America’s heroes—from the doughboys of World War I to those serving in the 21st century’s War on Terror.
