Veterans of the Second World War gathered Thursday, Dec. 7, 2017, at the National World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C., for a wreath-laying ceremony held in remembrance of the attack on Pearl Harbor 76 years ago. Many were lost 76 years ago but survivors, like BVA member Craig Kirkpatrick, went on to fight so future generations could live in freedom. As Mr. Kirkpatrick said, “we had better not forget.”
