Friendship Fountain in St. Johns River Park, the largest fountain in Jacksonville, is one of the city’s premier attractions.
Originally dedicated in 1965 and renovated in 2011, the fountain reportedly displays “stunning and incomparable beauty,” especially at night.
In the span of 60 seconds, some 3,500-6,500 gallons of water are pumped to a height of 100 feet with 265 lights molding the water into a sparkling mist. Photo courtesy of Ryan Ketterman for Visit Jacksonville and the Beaches.
