Wanda receives a pin at the ceremony

A Vietnam era Army Sergeant, BVA National Service Officer Wanda Grover was included in a special pinning ceremony honoring all Vietnam veterans at the conclusion of a Veterans Day program at the Department of Housing and Urban Development.

The November 10 patriotic program recognized the 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War Commemoration, a 13-year national campaign begun in 2012.

Wanda began her military service at Fort Stewart in the State of Georgia. She was also stationed in Karlsruhe, Germany, and Anchorage, Alaska.

She served on the 1978 Women in the Army Study, visiting bases in Korea, Panama, and Hawaii as part of the study.
