The ConferenceBike, or CoBi, was mentioned in the Autumn 2012 issue of the Bulletin as an option beyond the tandem bike for recreational cycling among the blind and visually impaired. It is a seven-person, round-shaped cycle with head- and taillights.
Although steered by a single rider, each of the other six individuals participates in the pedaling. The revolutionary vehicle, limited in number worldwide, is now being enjoyed by a variety of groups in 18 countries, including the Washington, DC VA Medical Center where one was recently donated.
